The mag is located on the right side of the engine. Follow your sparkplug wires from the plug to the cap on the mag. The center wire is from your coil. Don't be jerking all these wires off then forgetting where they went. I would replace the coil wire with a new copper wire available from your local auto parts store. Then recheck your point gap and set to .013". Why are you asking where the mag is when you stated you installed new points? Hal
