What I do to flush a rad is drain the system and fill with vinagar, run it for about and hour then let cool. Drain it again and if yoy can back flush it with water at the block drain. You need to make an adaptor to hook up at the block drain, also remove the rad cap when doing so. Let it run that way for about an hour. I have found that vinagar works better then what you can buy and is cheaper also
