There both really nice tractors top of the line in their day. The M is quite a bit bigger than a 45. There rated horsepower for the M is around 40 and around 43 for the WD 45. As for the pulling aspect I would say they both pull good but in diffrent classes. In the club I pull with the WD 45 is a 3500lbs to 4500. tractor and the M is 5500, 6500. Had to say which tractor is best but if I had the choice between the two I would go with M, IH POWER.
