Gear speeds for Farmall H

Is there any difference between gear speeds on the Farmall H during its production? I am being told that you could have 3 different ratios or speeds on an H depending on distillate or gas engine and year of production. I was under the assumption that at best there may have been one gear change on the transmission, ie. 1st being 1 1/2 mph vs 2 mph as an example. Please advise.
