O.K. yesterday ya'll help me figure out I have the hole in my hood that is used on distullate models. on the block just below the #1 spark plug (or rather the plug closest to the operator) is stamped "6722DJ". On the carborator when standing on the left side of the tractor facing the carb is stamped "8557D". Just where the gov'r. shaft connects to the carb is a circular brass tag "47387DB" which I understand this to be the model #. Does anyone know which model I have by comparing these numbers. Remember My serial # plate is missing so I don't know the exact serial # or year. Also if it helps My axles are stamped "6735 DB RH" and 6734 DB LH". Also on the right side of the transmission just forward of the brakes is stamped "8002 DD" and a brass tag below that "3-18-47" with "39" stamped beside that. between the seat and the steering column base is also a brass tag "4-17-47"
