"47387DB" is the distillate carb, as opposed to 50983 on the gas carb. "3-18-47" is a casting code- March 18, 1947, and 4-17-47 is also a casting code, April 17, 1947. So your M is an early 1947 model. The other numbers you mentioned are nothing more than part numbers, common to just about all Ms.
