Randy, Randy, Randy The shift pattern is R and 5 forward speeds, but you can't shift on the move like a semi. No syncros. You STOP, pick a gear, and go. Then, if you have to, STOP, pick another gear, and go. You can start from any gear, even fifth, and bring her up to speed. AS for hauling it home, lots of independent haulers read this site and can contact you w/ an offer to haul. As for making an a$$ of yourself, don't sweat it. Spend a couple hours reading this forum and you'll be good to go when you get the M. Also check out the research & info features on the left. As for buying on Ebay, I hope you didn't lay out too much cash for a tractor that needs all the work you think it does. You can find lots of M's on this site that have good paint & are ready to work the day they roll off the trailer. Good luck.
