Hi, "Vet Yes, the glow plugs work, although I didn"t check all of them. And I know that they all need to work or it won"t start. It"s got a nice little tank heater on it that i plugged in and got the whole engine block up to well over 100 degrees F. Then i squirted a little ether in the intake WITHOUT using the glow plugs and still nothing. It ought to at least pop a little. I can hear most of the compression leaking out the exhaust. The injectors are delivering fuel- you can see that coming out the exhaust in blue puffs of smoke. I was kind of suspecting a cracked head, but not the block too. I"m big on warm-up and cool-down for engines of all types, but of course I"m not the one that trashed it. Paul
