Alann: I think I misunderstood your original post. Are you telling me the Ampmeter never shows positive or charging? Just because the tractor will run with battery cable unhooked, doesn't indicate it is good generator. It doesn't take a whole lot of juice to keep tractor running. Have you had the generator tested to see what output is?
