H oil pan. You might say the M engine is probably about 5" higher top to bottom. We do know the crankshaft will be about the same height. This extra height in engine makes the entire hood higher.

Plain and Simple the M engine is close to 100 more cubic inches than the H and the larger part of that comes from stroke, thus it will be both higher and lower from crankshaft.
