AV...to be again, or not to be

Found a stuck AV. I like the idea of hi clearance, and offset for truck patch, but stuck engine turned out to be cracked block. Many seals shot. Lots of repair needed. Radiator and grill need replacing. One guy said a thousand dollar engine rebuild on a six hundred dollar tractor is a four hundred dollar loss. Any suggestions on how to determine if a resurrection is worthwhile, or to part out. I'd hate to cut up a tractor that might not be dead yet.
