Here's another way to look at it. You pay $600 for the tractor, sink another grand into it for engine repairs, now you have $1,600 invested in a tractor that will go out and do everything you need it to do. That same $1,600 will not come close to buying a new riding lawn mower, and the only thing it will do is cut the grass. Get the picture?
