It would take a vivid imagination to get 50 hp out of a C-153 engine. I had both 300 and 504 back when they were still relatively new tractors. Believe me the 300 will work with the 504 any day. I'm talking about a 504 with 1500 hours versus a 300 with about 15,000 hours. That C-153 has to be the poorest engine ever designed by IH.
