More C Hydraulic Questions

OK, I remember some of this was asked before, but….

From what I remember, the diverter valve block's purpose on a Super C with a Fast Hitch is to prevent bleed back of the oil when the handle is in the neutral position. When pressure is applied to the valve, it is shifted to allow oil to travel back to the tank. So when the tractor is shut off, moving the handle does not allow the hitch to drop.

Question is, what happens if this block is removed from the system? How will the system be affected?
Will the hitch creep down when the handle is in neutral or over time more?

I just bought a 3 point kit from Saginaw Tractor (very impressed so far). I plan on using the factory auxiliary valve to control the oil. I am having enough trouble finding the valve. I am sure the diverter valve is probably impossible to find, so I am going to have to leave it out.
