1568 Tranny problems

I have a 1568 and 2nd gear in it just started knocking. It does it in Hi, Lo and reverse. Anyone have any ideals on what it could be?? Also will a transmission out of a 1586 fit it? I know the shifting links are different but will it work?Thanks in advance. Chad
