Unless your winters last 36 months straight, you won"t have to worry about anything "getting stuck". Remember when that engine is assembled, all moving parts (pistons, cam, valve train, crank, etc.) are lubricated once they are clearanced. I have stored engines before run-up for up to two years with no problems whatsoever. I would recommend a heavy mil plastic engine bag to keep the dust and contaminates off of it (and out of it) in the meantime. Remember: dust and dirt love oil...and if you heavily lubricate the cylinder walls on even a tight engine, I will guarantee particulate just "floating around" will bond to it. Let it be and wrap it tight...winter doesn"t last forever. Though I must admit...ten degrees F this morning did get my attention. Just my couple of pennies for ya! Good luck!
