Super A Stripped Threads on Coolant Drain

I drained my coolant and found the previous owner of my Super A used JB Weld to hold the drain bolt in since the threads are stripped. There are some threads remaining, but they are deep in the hole, the threads near the outer edge are gone. I was planning to tap the drain hole to the next larger standard thread and use a bolt with a rubber groumet. Any suggestions for a lasting repair are welcome.
