I think all up draft carbs will frost just above the carb.Temperature and humidity control it. My old M frosts up, really bad especially when the choke isnt pushed in all the way, The frosting is similiar to freon, When a fluid changes from a liquid to a gas it gives up it's heat. thats how AC cools.
