Hey Fellas, me again......... Problem is, on this hydro, I can only get 'bout 8 or 9 mph in forward and it seems to lack any real "pulling power". In reverse, I've got a solid 20 mph and the darned tractor digs like a full-grown badger; can't stop the thing. Speeds according to the operator's manual are totally reversed. Engine braking is so solid that it absolutely slides the tires. Okay, IT manual says that this symptom is caused by the high pressure lines coming down from the Control valve being reversed or installed backwards. I think this is what I've got 'cause someone has been in this thing at one time and the lines aren't under their hold-down clamp like they should be. Before I open this thing up, will someone who owns a small frame hydro go out and look at these lines behind the starter? Do yours "Cross" like that? First picture is the left side of the tractor and the second picture was taken from the right side. I don't know how this control valve works, but to my mind, the reverse port should be on the right side of the valve above the battery. My reverse line on the transmission (forward-most line) hooks to the left port of the valve. Thanks for your help, Allan Left Side:
