Bob M has an excellent drawing on this website for converting to 12v. If you have everything tuned up to snuff on the A then it shouldn't need to be converted to 12 v. I put heavy duty battery cables on my C with 6v and it spins over like a top. The cables have good connections on both ends and has a good ground. The plugs and points are good and it is tuned/timed. Make sure that the carburetor is properly adjusted. My C sets in the shed all winter long and fires right off in the spring. You also need to make sure that the charging system is working properly. Just my $0.02 worth. Randy
