Yeah John - there's two separate resistors on the Farmall LHDB switch. The field resistor is made of of relatively light wire and is wound on a mica(?) preform with a terminal (for the generator F wire) at one end. The headlight dimming resistor is a coil of about 8 turns of heavier wire and is fastened between two terminals directly on the switch. When originally supplied the dimmer coil was was covered with asbestos insulation. However the asbestos is usually long gone after 50+ years of life in a Farmall's electric box!
