I don’t remember (been about 18 years since I sold my 560 gasser) but is there a vacuum tap on the intake manifold? If there is, get a hold of a vacuum gauge and hook it up. A good solid engine should have 18-21 inches of vacuum and hold it steady even at idle. If it is low, you have an intake leak. I don’t remember all the readings and effects on a vacuum gauge but it seams to me that if the vacuum drifts between 15 and 21 inches there are timing issues. If it bounces steady, you have a burned valve or hole in a piston. Hopefully if you get the vacuum gauge it will include a trouble shooting guide. If not, e-mail me and I will look up what all the different types of readings mean.
