The measurement from the end of the two-point socket to the center of the eye on my semi-standard adapter prongs is 10-1/2 inches. If you get it much closer, I'd expect your toplink isn't going to work, and hooking up to the PTO would be a real problem. The 10-1/2" measurement is from the stop which keeps the prong from sliding any further into the socket.
