Pull up the floor mat in the cab and there you'll see a large plate screwed down. Remove the screws, cover, and you'll see the starter, etc. The bolts are accessible through there. You shouldn't need to drain the trans. There's a seal on the input shaft of the transmission. If you have oil in the flywheel area, the seal needs replacing.
