A previous post discussed spark plug/heat ranges [Champion D21, Autolite 386] and I'd like to ask for your opinions here. The spec book for an A called for brands Champion-15A, OR AC85S, OR Autolite BT8. I am uncertain if any of these are still available today. When I purchased this ill-running tractor it had Champion Copper Plus 549-D18Y in it, and we've gotten it to run pretty well before the cosmetic tear-down, however it did run a tad rich, but the carb adjustments were frozen to further dial it in. That will be fixed by rebuild time. Now I'd like the best heat range plug for a light use, & 'parade' tractor. Thoughts?
