I purchased a 1940 farmall M a couple weeks ago- took the filler cap off and saw something that threw me for a loop. I noticed at the base of the filler cap stud there was a plastic type substance. In disbelief I put the cap back on and tightened it down. Sure enough the plastic substance let loose of the stud with some surrounding metal. I am new to farmalls, is this a common break? Thanks for any help. --Tye
