My packing is new ( new packing nut too) and it is just tight enough so it doesn't leak and can still turn the needle. It is leaking at that slotted nut. I have tried different tubes+ slotted nuts and it still leaks. It doesn't leak when running but it leaks when the tractor has sat for a while ( what ever gas there was in the bowl, I shut off the fuel valve). It leaks enough that if you put your hand on the bottom, you get gas on it. thanks!!
