Water always goes up to the belt pulley, as it is the highest and coolest point and that is where the water will condense. As CNKS said, same oil as in trsnsmission. Add a quart to the belt pulley when you put it back together. Water in the belt pulley housing will cause the bearings to corrode which is not good. To help the problem, run the pulley every so often and hopefully some of the water will go back to the transmission. Then if you work the tractor and get things hot the water will go away. Recently, I overhauled the transmission on a Super H. I found the transmission does not drain completely out of the rear compartment if the tractor is level. You first need to drain at both the front and rear drains with the tractor level and then elevate the front about a foot to get most of the oil (and/or water out) With the tractor level, the differential compartment probably had a quart of more left in there, of which half or more was water.
