Mitch: Most Super A did have the temp gauge for hydraulics. It seemed to disappear about 1954 or at beginning of Farmall 100. I've yet to see the needle move on one of them. I think it was a handy item if using the hydro creeper drive. That system used a remote valve and a hydraulic motor hooked to pto shaft. You tied clutch pedal in depressed position and hydraulic motor powered tractor from pto to transmission. with that small resovoir and continuous flow, one would have heat build up. It reduced all gear speeds by about 85%. I have seen these tractors with loaders and that didn't move needle either. Hydraulic motors would cause more heat.
