SB, you're not going to be able to completely eliminate the scammers unless you don't sell the tractor at all... No matter where you go, you'll always stand the chance of some less-than-honorable chump trying to bilk you out of your tractor, or some money. What you can do is protect yourself. If a deal seems too good to be true, or doesn't feel right, WALK AWAY. Familiarize yourself with the common scams, like the one where they send you too much money "by mistake" and want you to forward the "extra" on to a third party. Like I said, if something smells rotten, WALK AWAY. You can say no. Frankly, I wouldn't accept less than cash in hand, and I wouldn't pay any other way if it were me buying the tractor.
