KsFarmer, I'm with Dave in CT. I have a magnetic heater that I stick on the oil pan of my B250, then I go do the chores for an hour and when I come back it will start every time , without ether. I like the magnetic heater because I can use it on an H or M if its really cold..TSC had them for around $24. I have put a blanket over a tractor in the shed and hung a 150 watt bulb down on the side of the block.The heat is just enough to keep oil viscous and some warmth to help start it..Mike in Exeter Ontario
