Any one ever installed a heater ??

Well it's zero here in NE KS with 6 inches of new powdering white stuff, but the 300 Farmall says it's too cold for her to start. Maybe she'll change her mind later in the day. Just wondering who has experience installing some type of block heater either in the crankcase or the radiator on older Farmalls. How much trouble is it and how well do they work? Is there anything temporary that you can easily install and remove? Thanks
