You sure that it's the condendser?

Are you sure that the distributor shaft bushings aren't wobbled out? Are the points set right? Is your charging system putting out the proper voltage (14.2V)?

Also, check your voltage at the positive coil terminal; should be about 10.8 volts with 'er running.

However, 'bout the only thing that I know of that will cause a condenser to go south is bad manufacturing. I can only remember seeing two bad condensers in my lifetime and they were both shorted.
