If you're looking at a standby generator, consider propane. Yes, the tanks are a pain to handle, but propane doesn't degrade from sitting for years & years, plus it doesn't gum up the carb. I've been doing some research on the subject as we're looking at a generator put in a 5th wheel travel trailer.
