240 IH utility tractor.

Hello everyone I need some help.I just purchased a IH 240 utility tractor.The attached stamped tag serial # 6036 J . this may sound dumb but i need to know the year it was made the ex-owner thought possibly 1957 can any one bail me out? the front grill is white the tag i took the # off of was on left side by the block. thanks
