I used to live in Simpsonville, South Carolina, and in Woodruff, Fountain Inn, and Mauldin. In the upstate, being close to the mountains, I have seen some really nice ice storms over that way and don't miss them one bit. We even had a little ice here in Georgia last year. No big deal, it melted the next day. Working at the airport I have had learjets sliding sideways on an iced over ramp at GSP while trying to tow them. For some reason the upstate gets some really bad ice every now and then being close to the leeward side of the mountains up there. My Two Cents, MACE
