A friend called me up the other day and told me that he knew of a M that was going to go for scrap so I went and looked at it and decided to buy it(give $500 for it). It is a early 1940 with the dip under the seat like the 1939 M had.The moter has a nocking noise and when you pull it on the mixer mill blow-by comes out EVERYWERE, Is it a craked piston or broken ring causing this or what sure is scary to listen to like this. I would like to restore this tractor to original for an FFA progect for this is my last year of high school. Would this tractor have had the same style seat that the 1939 M had? Last year Bought a 1948 M and been working on that and just got hooked on the darn Things. Thanks for any help.
