I am working on a Farmall Cub and had to replace the transmission case because the original one was broken. I am trying to get the ring and pinion gear adjusted per the service manual, because this case is slightly different than the original (I suppose just because of machining tolerences). I seem to be chasing my self as I have had the thing apart more than a dozen times trying to get the right backlash and get the gears to mesh at the right spot on the gear face. Does anyone have a good way to align these gears. I did it on my MD several years ago, but there I only had to realign the gears in one direction. Roger
