There is a need to lubricate the unit before installation, use 85-90 wt gear oil (same as trans). The unit is then splash lubed from trans. There is no alignment, the unit just bolts in (use thin .005-.008 gasket). There is a lever on the unit that engages/disengages it. Clutch in, move lever, clutch release moderately (just as though you were starting to move the tractor) JimN
