Tractorman4840, Back in the early 80s our JD 8820 had a strawchopper on it. We had major problems keeping it in "Time". So after a couple of yrs of headaches we pulled it off in mid-wheat harvest. An 8820 w/ a 30 header cutting 85 bu irrigated wheat will leave a windrow behind it, 5 ft wide and almost 4 ft deep. When we finished cutting wheat, a couple of neighbors baled up what they wanted. Then we burned the rest so we could float out that field. I'll bet you can simply pull the drive V-belt and let the residue simply fall out of the end of the machine. There you are a ready made windrow. Just fire up you baler tractor and get after it. Hope this helps. John A.
