Thanks for replying. My origional carb ( which didn't run well) was also leaking at the metering nozzel clamp nut. I tightened it up and broke it. I decided to buy a "rebuilt" carb. to solve all of my problems (came with a cracked float, sand in it, too long of a plug that was cutting off all fuel at low idle, etc.). My old carb would never run below 550 rpm's. Was told on this site to replace the throttle shaft bushing. I decided to redo my "rebuilt" carb. New throttle shaft bushing ( reamed to size), nos throttle plate, new choke shaft, IH kit. It runs great( can get it down to 450 rpms) except leaks at the metering nozzle clamp nut.I tightened the nut pretty tight but don't want to break the metering nozzle. I will try 2 washers. It is possible I have a cracked bowl but what are the odds of 2 cracked bowls? Heehee. With my luck probably very high.
