Not a big deal to change tubes and yes the shaft has to be changed as well. remember that with every axle width change the drawbar has to correspond. You have 3 choices A width, BN 4inches shorter per side, and B. If you would use a BN tube on the right side the seat bracket would then be up against the fender, of course that would mean a custom width drawbar.
