SMTA is not rare, 26724 produced (all models). Collectors like them, apparantly because they were the 1st IH tractor with a TA and live pto, they were made for only one year, and they were just enough different from the earlier stage 2 Super M and the later 400 to make them collectible. The rare one is the Super MVTA with LPG, and the Diesel MDVTA. I don't participate in "brand wars". You will probably find a similar situation with certain Olivers.
