My "B" was stuck for well over ten years. Pulled the head and pan, added trans fluid for three to four weeks all the while gently tapping on the rods and pistons. I had the head rebuilt and she's been running ever since (4 yrs). However, as indicated, a rebuild kit is very reasonable and easy to install.
