Hi Steven, Mine"s a "73. They started out with the 4100 in 1966 at the same time they were developing the 1206. Then in "69 and "70 it became the 4156. Both of those had the DT429 motor in them. In "71 it turned into the 4166 and they put the DT436 in it. Then from "76 through "78 it was the 4186, still with the DT436. Even though all the other IH tractors got a nicer cab and other upgrades with the 86 series, these stayed pretty much the same to the end, even the grill I think. Paint scheme was a little different. I guess the production numbers were too low to justify any big changes. Paul
