Hi: Well, here we go again. I"ve got 6 times the money invested in my 8N but it finally works thanks to this website. Now I bought a "bargain" early 1940 FARMALL "H". First problem was the PTO shaft not working . We think we have that going our way now by replacing the entire unit up to transmission. Now we find the gears and shifting forks are worn badly (especially 4th & 5th gear and 1st & reverse shifting fork. The forks apparently change at serial # 19378. Our serial # is # 22500. Should be simple????? The part numbers on our shifting forks do not match anything in the shop manual although they come close to the numbers pre # 19378. What"s up with that? And would any forks we find for an H work? And any suggestions as to a reasonable place to obtain them? I"m finding the shop manual for this is either worthless or I"m not bright enough to understand it. I had a lot of good help on my 8N and am hoping the FARMALL guys are better. Thanks. Rich
