Frankly, if they wouldn’t have been grandpa’s M’s they would still be where they were. Don't get me wrong, I love to save old iron, just can't afford to save it all! These join my dad’s tractors, a 1940 B, 1950 M, and a 1972 966 all one owner, not to mention my grandfathers McCormick Deering 22-36 (only one not running) that he bought new. Personally, I think we have enough for now! So now we have three M’s; 1941, 1950, and I think a 1951 (the torque tube has been replaced so the serial number indicates a 1940 but the casting date on the rear case indicates a 1951). Going to be a good learning experience for him as we “tinker” with these and get them fixed up!
