The others are correct brake fluid could only exceed the initial level if it was materializing from another universe. Put a piece of glass over the open cylinder and use a .001" feeler gauge under the glass "feeling" for distortion all around the edge. If it is within .001, it is probably reasonable. If it is then check the cap, it could be bent. You might need to cut a piece of glass to put into the recess. (cut with enough pressure to score the glass with one pass, then tap on the nonscored side to break it. Wear safety glasses, and brush off your hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows with your face turned downward.) Bend the cap flat if it is warped. Use one or more stacked slivers of aluminum cut from a popcan to shim up the cap between the cap and diaphram in the area of the low spot if it is the cast body that is deformed. Good luck, JimN
