Hi Guys I have an older gentelman up the road that has a problem he has come to visit me three times already today. I cant leave the house yet so I will ask you fellas for help. His boy was running the OS 4oo and went in the house and left it ideling when he returned it had quit and would not restart. So I told him to check for spark. Yes He returned I told him to check # 1 plug compresion TDC yes rotor is lined up on #1 plus timing marks lined up on pulley. He thinks but there is 4 different slots for marks. Itold him it must be carbration spray carb cleaner in carb and try to start. He returned and sayed no start but can feel air pushing back against his hand from carb. Ok If the timing gear is still in time I said take valve cover off maybe the key sheared on cam and the gear stayed in time but the cam shaft was not turning. He said the cam was turning but when #1 and #4 pistons are up and valves should be closed that #4 exuast is open. The only thought I have is that the cam key sheared but caught again about 1/3 away around or something any one have any ideas. I hate it when these old gents cant get there machines running. JON

Experimental Tractors Article - by Danny Bowes (Dsl). Tractor technology appears to have nearly hit it's pinnacle of development. If you agreed with the subtitle, you are rather mistaken. Quite, actually. As a matter of fact, some of the technology experimented with over 40 years ago makes today's tractor technology seem absolutely stale by comparison.
