The stock starter system on a B is a very simple setup: 1. Fat cable from + on battery to tractor frame. 2. Fat cable from - on battery to starter button. 3. Fat cable from starter button to post on starter. That's it. You can only possibly have a problem in one of five places: 1. The cable from the + to ground. 2. The cable from the - to the starter button. 3. The starter button itself. 4. The cable from the starter button to the starter. 5. The starter. It's GOT to be in one of those five places. There's no voodoo magic involved. BTW, just because the starter locks up does not mean it needs to be rebuilt. Usually, the problem is caused by a worn Bendix drive and/or worn teeth on the ring gear.
